The Business Society at PU led by their advisor, Dr. Ahmad Samarji, organized and delivered a student-centered event on January 19, 2017. The event comprised a short interactive lecture and play which took the audience through a brief journey starting with how to prepare a resume and concluding with how to sit for a job interview. The lecture was facilitated by Dr. Samarji and focused on preparing a resume while highlighting some of the most sought-after personal and professional competencies (e.g. interpersonal skills, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, communication skills and organizational skills). Following the lecture, members of the Business Society demonstrated a short play portraying a scenario of three fresh graduates preparing their resumes, applying for a job and finally sitting a job interview. The play was delivered within a humorous- yet educational- context, where both good and poor practices were highlighted throughout the job application process. The event was well-attended by PU students, faculty and staff and concluded with an open discussion. This event took place in collaboration with PU Career Center.
