Diabetes Awareness and Free Diagnostic Campaign 2025

Phoenicia University, in partnership with the Lebanese Welfare Association for the Handicapped (LWAH), directly delivers an ongoing Diabetes Awareness and Free Diagnostic Campaign, running since 2023 and continued in 2025. Qualified physicians and nutritionists provide students and the wider community with free educational sessions on diabetes prevention and management, free consultations and screening, glucometers for self-management, and tailored follow-up care and referrals. The programme improves access to essential health services for all. The reported figures for academic year 2024-2025 include 114 individuals living with diabetes, 49 with Type 1 and 65 with Type 2, with additional cases continuing to be identified and supported as the initiative remains active.
