PU Holds Commencement Ceremony Honoring the Class of 2025

Phoenicia University (PU) proudly held the graduation ceremony of its Class of 2025 on Thursday, August 28, 2025, under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency Minister Rasheed Derbas.

The ceremony commenced with the Lebanese national anthem, followed by a piano performance by student Dana Nour El-Din.

In his address, PU President Professor Imad Zbib reaffirmed the university’s dedication to staying at the forefront of global advancements in technology and artificial intelligence, emphasizing that this vision lies at the core of PU’s academic and research strategy. He highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at developing innovative curricula, strengthening partnerships with industry, and promoting multidisciplinary research that empowers graduates to meet the challenges of the future. Professor Zbib also announced the launch of a new Master of Laws (LL.M) program in Commercial Regulation, Litigation, and Arbitration, which integrates artificial intelligence into its curriculum.

Minister Derbas followed with a keynote speech, in which he lauded PU's rapid ascent in the academic landscape, commending its steadfast dedication to its educational and research mission despite Lebanon's ongoing challenges.

This year’s valedictory speeches were delivered by Ahmad Abbas, a graduate of the College of Law, and Jana Lezzaik, a graduate of the College of Public Health. Both graduates shared heartfelt reflections on their academic journeys, expressing gratitude and pride, and delivering inspiring messages of hope, resilience, and perseverance for the future.

The ceremony concluded with the conferral of degrees in the presence of faculty, staff, and families, marking a pivotal milestone in the lives of the graduates. The event stood as a testament to Phoenicia University’s unwavering commitment to investing in quality education and standing beside every graduate as they take their next step forward.
