PU Incubator Info Session Series for the Local Community
On 14 December 2023, the Phoenicia University Incubator (PUI) hosted a free information session as part of its recurring outreach program designed to introduce the University's incubation services to both students and members of the wider local community. The session welcomed 20 participants, reflecting PUI's commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship beyond the University campus.
Participants were introduced to the benefits of PUI membership, including access to mentoring programs, entrepreneurship training, and the University's shared innovation spaces, including thirteen high-tech laboratories. The session provided a comprehensive overview of the incubation process, outlining each stage from idea development to venture growth, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session and individual consultations for prospective applicants.
The session was delivered by members of the PUI Advisory Board, including Dr. Ahmad Hijazi, Dean of the College of Business, who provided guidance on business planning, market development, and entrepreneurial strategy, and Dr. Dima Basma, Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, who advised participants on legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations. Together, they offered practical mentorship to support participants in transforming innovative ideas into viable and sustainable ventures.
As part of the session, participants were invited to submit the Incubator Application to explore opportunities and receive entrepreneurial support. They were also introduced to the Incubator Workspace Reservation Form to reserve workspaces and access the University's specialized facilities and laboratories, which are available to support product development, research, prototyping, and business development activities.
This information session forms part of PUI's ongoing community engagement program, which provides regular, free opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs to explore incubation services, develop entrepreneurial skills, and establish financially and socially sustainable businesses that contribute to local economic development.
