Echoes of Hanan” Promotes Inclusion Through Creativity and Community Engagement
The Speech Therapy Society at Phoenicia University organized “Echoes of Hanan,” a community-focused inclusion event that welcomed children and youth from Al Hanan Institution, along with their caregivers and university students. The event created a warm and interactive campus experience centered on creativity, participation, and social connection.
The event featured a creative market where children proudly showcased and sold handmade products created at their institution, followed by a talent showcase that included dabke, folkloric dances, songs, and short artistic performances.
Throughout the event, several interactive activity stations were led by society members and volunteers, including gross-motor games, obstacle courses, fine-motor activities such as beading and painting, collaborative board art, face painting, and an open dance space. As part of the celebration, gifts were distributed to the children, adding to the joyful atmosphere of the day.
“Echoes of Hanan” highlighted the importance of inclusion, self-expression, and social participation, empowering children through creativity and performance. The event strengthened community ties between university students and Al Hanan participants, raised awareness about inclusive practices, and created joyful and lasting memories for everyone involved.
