Dr. Kamel Abou Ghali Among the World’s Top 2% Scientists — Stanford–Elsevier Global Ranking 2025

Phoenicia University is proud to announce that Dr. Kamel Abou Ghali, Interim-Dean of the College of Engineering, has been recognized once again among the Top 2% of scientists worldwide, according to the Stanford–Elsevier global ranking, following his inclusion in the 2024 study and now in the 2025 edition.

This prestigious list highlights the world’s leading scientists who have made a substantial impact in their respective fields through their citation influence, research contributions, and scientific excellence. 

About Dr. Kamel Abou Ghali:

Dr. Abou Ghali is a distinguished scholar in the Built Environment & Design field, with strong research contributions in Building & Construction and Energy. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University, where he also served as a Visiting Professor and Research Scholar in the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering. He also served as Professor and Chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the American University of Beirut (AUB).

He is specialized in air quality, indoor air velocity measurement, and human body modeling, and an expert in energy conservation in buildings, poultry housing, and human well-being in indoor and outdoor environments.

This recognition highlights Dr. Abou Ghali’s scientific influence and positions him among the most impactful scholars globally. Phoenicia University congratulates Dr. Abou Ghali on this continued achievement and celebrates his dedication to excellence in research and education.
