Phoenicia University’s Bachelor of Science in Public Health Receives Validation from APHEA

The Bachelor of Science in Public Health at Phoenicia University (PU) has officially received Validation from the Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA), marking a significant international recognition of the program’s quality, structure, and relevance in Lebanon and the region.

This decision by the APHEA Board of Accreditation acknowledges Phoenicia University’s “commitment to advancing public health education, community engagement, and capacity building in alignment with APHEA’s mission and international standards”.

The APHEA Board highlighted the program’s broad coverage of public health competencies, its strong emphasis on experiential and community-based learning, and the integration of research methods and applied practice. The program was also recognized for its regional relevance with a global outlook, the innovative inclusion of data science and artificial intelligence, and the diversity and expertise of its faculty, all contributing to its academic strength and modern approach to public health education.

With this validation, Phoenicia University’s Bachelor of Science in Public Health now moves into Phase 2 of the APHEA Accreditation process, which includes the preparation of a Self-Evaluation Document and the planning of a site visit.

This milestone reaffirms the university’s commitment to delivering a high-quality, internationally aligned program that equips graduates to address evolving public health challenges with competence, innovation, and leadership.
